Biography

Daniele Cardone

Flutist and piccolo player: soloist, chamber and orchestral musician.

Portrait of Daniele Cardone

I have played the flute since 2015. I trained at the “Giovanni Paisiello” Conservatory in Taranto with Maestro Giuseppe Di Gioia and, since 2022, I have studied at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory in Milan in the class of Maestro Diego Collino, where I earned the First-Level Academic Diploma and am attending the Second-Level programme.

I have played in orchestras since 2019, and the piccolo is an important part of my work: first as second flute with piccolo doubling in the Paisiello band and orchestra and in the Orchestra Giovanile della Magna Grecia, then as Second Flute and Piccolo in the OSCOM, the Milan Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. I have played under Michele Mariotti, Giuseppe Finzi, Alessandro Bombonati and Stefano Pagliani.

Alongside the orchestra I play chamber music, often in duo with the pianist Alessandro Penati: from Poulenc's Sonata in Cassano d'Adda in 2025 to the Pijper and Schulhoff Sonatas in 2026, and Bolling's Suite with a jazz trio. In May 2026 I won the First Absolute Prize at the “Città di Baronissi” International Competition.
